Production for Soap Base

Saponification plant

Different raw materials require different saponification process:

Fatty acid. Soap produced from distilled fatty acid is free from glycerine and impurities and therefore of excelent quality in terms of colour and odor. Fatty acid saponification is also referred to neutralization.

Neutral fats. Soap produced from neutral fats contains glycerine (in traces or in significant quantities) that is integral part of a triglycerid (neutral fat).

During full boiled process soap gets "washed" in order to remove the glycerine and part of impurities.
Half-boiled soap is instead not "washed" and contains all the glycerine brought in by the fat.
